Get out the VOTE!

I voted today.  I won’t say who I voted for, nor where, but I did my American duty and proudly voted for the future leadership at the National and State level, here in the United States of America.  You should, too.

I got into discussions with the volunteers from the Democratic party and the Republican party today.  I thought it very interesting who volunteered.

The Republicans had older white men, the Democrats had young women, of mixed backgrounds.  The Republicans knew their stuff cold, the Democratic volunteers were…  clueless.  I asked the Democrats what were some of the platforms and they responded “we don’t know, we just believe you should vote for the Democrats”.

I see and hear that often.

I get into a lot of political discussions on Facebook with my friends.  I’ve seen the political ads on television.  I’ve read the emails.  I read the newspapers.  I read the news and the politics on online websites.  I talk with my neighbors and friends and relatives.

One of the most hilarious things going around is faux information to the Democrats that election day has been continued tomorrow.  The polls are open for Democrats, only.

I’ve also seen the slogans, primarily at the expense of Democrats, “Vote early, vote often!”

But seriously folks.  You have about one hour to get out the vote.  Both parties have a lot at stake in the national election, the control of the Senate. If you do not vote and your party is not in control of the Senate later tonight, you may have been that crucial vote that made a difference.

Go vote.
